Book Club

In January 2013, we kicked off the Lovin' On Buffalo Book Club!!! The book club is dedicated to reading books about Buffalo or by Buffalo authors. In addition to reading "local", the goal is to support local businesses by hosting our bi-monthly meetings at various local establishments to help boost the local economy!

January/February - City Of Light by Lauren Belfer

Meeting information: February 28th, 6:00pm - Code Blu Juice Bar on Allen 

10 members kicked off the book club at Code Blu Juice Bar on 2/28! It was a great night of discussion and enjoying the food and smoothies Code Blu Juice Bar has to offer. 

March/April - Buffalo Memories by George Kunz

Meeting information: Friday, April 26th, 6:00pm - Butterwood Sweet & Savory 

We had a great group of 10 again for this month's book club meeting! We enjoyed an amazing meal at Butterwood Sweet & Savory and then had the chance to take a tour around the recently renovated Hotel Lafayette! 

May/June - Buffalo Lockjaw by Greg Ames

Meeting information: Monday, June 17th, 6:00pm - SPOT Coffee on Elmwood

While we had a smaller group for our June meeting, everyone enjoyed the book and we shared a great discussion about the different themes from the book. 

July/August - The Long Walk by Brian Castner

Meeting Information: Tuesday, August 6th at 6:30pm - Location is TBD
